Christopher CrossanChristopher Crossan: flute and saxophone

 A professional musician for thirty years, Christopher's experience is vast and varied. His live theatre work has included Crazy for You at the Royal Alexandra Theatre and Nunsense at the Limelight Dinner Theatre. He has performed in shows featuring such stars as Bob Newhart, Phyllis Diller and Shirley Eikhart. In addition to extensive recording work with various artists, Chris has received international airplay with a self-titled release. His television work includes various CBC variety shows and a Graham Cable Network feature.


Michael MonisMichael Monis: guitar

Michael started playing professionally over twenty five years ago and his career has encompassed a wide variety of styles. He has played in the pit orchestra for shows featuring Dinah Christie, Luba Goy and Milton Berle and traveled across North America with various dance troups including the Ukrainian Festival Dance Company and the Bulava Dancers. Michael's recording experience is equally varied. In addition to being "in-house" guitarist for Sound Canada and Jonar Studio, he has played on numerous jingles, demos and CDs.


Janet HorneJanet Horne: violin

 Janet brings impressive classical training and experience to the ensemble. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto in 1984 and also trained at the American Institute of Music in Graz, Austria and at the Banff School of Fine Arts. Her orchestral work is extensive and includes Phantom of the Opera, Royal Winnipeg Ballet (principal second violin), Stratford Festival, Canadian Opera Company, Toronto Philharmonic, Kitchener Waterloo Symphony (assistant concertmaster), Niagara Symphony (associate concertmaster), and the National Ballet of Canada.


John YellandJohn Yelland: bass

John is an Honours graduate from Humber College's Jazz Performance program and winner of the Award for Excellence-Bass Guitar. His professional career has run the gamut from cabaret and trade shows, to big band, country step-dancing, and just about every other musical form you can name. His particular passions are latin music (salsa, mariachi, tango, etc.) and jazz. Each summer John teaches for the National Guitar Workshop where he performs with such musical luminaries as Rik Emmett, Mick Goodrich, Frank Gambale and Ronnie Earl. John composes and records his own music with many Toronto-area groups.
